Floor Area: 1200 sq.m. Date: 2011 TKA+D was commissioned by the City of Surrey to renovate the existing Kensington Prairie Elementary School for use as the new home for the Kensington Prairie Community Centre. The new facility will house 6 classrooms for the daily infant care of infants, toddlers and children as well as accommodating other community functions. Exterior modications included upgrading the landscaping and the construction of a new car park accessed from 168th Street. The interiors of two of the three buildings on the site have been reconfigured to meet current provincial childcare regulations as well as to create a positive and stimulating environment for the care of children in their formative years. |
