Donna Kurtz has been working as a professional Interior Designer for 20 years. Having graduated with a Bachelor of Interior Design from the University of Manitoba in 1987, she set her sites on traveling and working abroad. Donna began employment with one of Australia’s largest architectural practices Bligh Voller Nield Architects. She worked continuously with the practice on a wide range of interiors and architectural projects for over 10 years. Her loyalty and dedication to the firm was recognized in 1995 when she was made an Associate with and offered the position of State Interiors Manager in Canberra (Australian Capital Territory) for a period of 2 years. Upon her return to the Brisbane office, Donna was appointed Principal Interior Designer and was involved in the day-to -day management of the Interiors department and the practice as a whole.
In 1999, Donna returned to Vancouver, Canada and worked with Architectura for 2 years and for 7 years with Christopher Bozyk Architects. During that time she worked on both Interior and Architectural commissions which included a variety of project types: federal and local government, corporate, hospitality, multi-family residential, retail and healthcare.
Donna's experience with both large and small firms has given her the skills to carry a project from conception to completion, on time and on budget. She has excellent organizational and communication skills. Her experience includes, initial programming, conceptual design, presentation, space planning, design development, contract documentation, tendering, furniture procurement, and contract administration.
